The shape of the panata (a term that derives from the oldest jug from the 12th century, which was used to soften stale bread in water) is characterised by an ovoid body with a round mouth, an almond-shaped pouring spout and a ribbon-shaped handle.

In half majolica with copper green and manganese decoration taken from the medieval iconographic heritage on craquelle enamel to give the object a more ancient flavour.
