This mezza maiolica cup is entirely handmade in our workshop in Pitigliano, Tuscany. The decoration, inspired by medieval iconography, is executed in the traditional colours of copper green and manganese, characteristic of Maiolica Arcaica.
The forms and decorations draw on the medieval tradition, reinterpreted through careful craftsmanship that respects historical techniques. Each piece is created through a handmade process, resulting in a unique object with subtle variations in shape and colour that bear witness to its authenticity.
Designed both for everyday use and as a decorative object, this piece brings together functionality, historical character and timeless beauty.
Maiolica and unique pieces rooted in the tradition of Tuscan ceramics
Roberto Polidori was born, lives and works in Pitigliano. He founded the workshop and began the Ceramiche Polidori story.
Trained as a surveyor and having studied architecture, he is both a craftsman and an artist-potter.
