Collection: Terre and Foglie of Maremma

Craftsmanship and nature merge to create products that tell a story.

This collection was born in the late 70s: the desire was to create art objects with materials as available as possible in our homeland. The goal was to create artfully made artifacts for the table, to use and to live.

The art of the ancient Tuscan ceramic artisans, qualities inherited from the Etruscans and jealously guarded for centuries.

White, brick red, pink, grey, ochre. Different colours that tell the story of the materials of our land. Clays, fine sands of excellent quality and metal oxides. The lands of Maremma, Amiata and the Fiora Hills at the base of ancient processes.

From these elements were born objects related to food and wine, pieces of artisanal ceramics with a story to tell.

In fact, each product was subjected to the judgement of the regulars of Pitigliano's taverns: if they "pissed" (poured) badly, the criticism was very harsh.

How can we not mention the “rabbina”: a large jar for storing vinegar whose name came from the wife of the rabbi of the local synagogue. The naturalistic motif and the effect of the glazed terracotta give a unique glimpse of our territory.
