Piatto a catino (basin plate): a traditional medieval form, a deep plate with a wide flat rim.
ø 30 cm
This mezza maiolica plate is entirely handmade in our workshop in Pitigliano, Tuscany. The decoration, inspired by the medieval iconographic heritage, is executed in the traditional colours of copper green and manganese, typical of Maiolica Arcaica.
Shapes and decorations evoke the medieval tradition, reinterpreted through careful craftsmanship that respects historical techniques. Each piece is the result of a manual process that makes every creation unique, with slight variations in shape and colour that testify to its authenticity.
Designed both for daily use and as a decorative element, this is an object capable of combining functionality, historical value, and timeless beauty.
