Piatto a catino (basin plate): a traditional medieval form, a deep plate with a wide flat rim.
Plate with flat rim, rounded edge, and ring base.
This mezza maiolica plate is made entirely by hand in our workshop in Pitigliano, Tuscany. The decoration, inspired by medieval iconographic heritage, is executed in the traditional copper green and manganese colours, typical of Maiolica Arcaica.
Shapes and decorations evoke the medieval tradition, reinterpreted through meticulous craftsmanship that respects historical techniques. Each piece is the result of a manual process that makes every creation unique, with slight variations in shape and colour that testify to its authenticity.
Designed for both daily use and as a decorative element, this is an object capable of combining functionality, historical value, and timeless beauty.
