This trefoil wine or water jug belongs to the Terre e Foglie collection and is crafted from glazed terracotta, entirely by hand in the Ceramiche Polidori workshop in Pitigliano, Tuscany. The natural colours that characterise each piece – white, brick red, pink, grey, and ochre – stem from the research and selection of local clays and materials gathered by Roberto Polidori in the hills of the Tuff Area.

The shades, which always differ slightly from one another, make every item a unique piece of handcrafted Tuscan ceramics. The decorative leaf motif – oak, maple, and others – rests on the pieces in an apparently disordered way, creating spontaneous and natural surfaces that evoke the landscape and the rhythms of nature.

Designed to be used and enjoyed, but also as an original gift idea, this trefoil jug combines daily functionality and artistic value, recounting through material, colour, and decoration the deep bond between ceramic craftsmanship and the local territory.

Maiolica and unique pieces rooted in the tradition of Tuscan ceramics

Roberto Polidori was born, lives and works in Pitigliano. He founded the workshop and began the Ceramiche Polidori story.

Trained as a surveyor and having studied architecture, he is both a craftsman and an artist-potter.
